The Sixth Court of Appeals serves the Texarkana, Texas area. The court consists of three Justices hearing cases from the nineteen counties as listed below.
New! Effective July 15, 2011, the Sixth Court of Appeals is accepting electronic filings for Clerk's Records and Reporter's Records. This is the Court's preferred method for filing. NEW FOR ATTORNEYS! Effective September 2, 2011, electronic filing is available in the Sixth Court of Appeals. Visit Texas.gov to choose an electronic filing service provider and register. Through the Texas.gov filing system, you can electronically file documents, pay your fees, and serve opposing counsel.
A filer who elects to e-file a document must comply with this Court's Local Rule 3. A filer who elects to e-file a brief must follow the Redaction Guidelines found on the Texas Supreme Court's website.
